Purkinje layer, the middle layer, contains only cell body of Purkinje neurons (in green). Purkinje neuron dendrites are large arbors with hundreds of spiny branches reaching up into molecular layer, the outermost layer. Glial cells in red and nuclei in blue are shown in the innermost layer, the granular layer.
